Here we go with the NFL Week 9 selections:
Vikings at Cowboys– How much more can Cowboys fans (myself) endure. The Boys continue to give up games that come down to the wire. In the past two seasons the Cowboys have lost a combined 11 games by 3 points or less. To make matters worse, they were the first team in NFL history to lose a game after having a +4 turnover ratio against the Lions. Fortunately, for the Cowboys, they have a terrible Minnesota Vikings team coming to AT &T Stadium which can cure all ills at least for a week. This one will be tougher than one may think but the Boys will prevail in an ugly one.
Cowboys 24 Vikings 13
Chiefs at Bills– Andy Reid has the Big Red Machine rolling and they are easily the most surprising team and best defensive team in the league all season. Something tells me that this one will be tight but the Cheifs will get the victory.
Chiefs 17 Bills 13
Falcons at Panthers– I don’t know what the heck is going on with the Falcons but somebody’s a#s will be grass if it doesn’t change very soon. As much as the Falcons have been disarray, the Cam Newton led Panthers seem to be surging. This one can go either way and I will take the best team of the two as of right now.
Panthers 20 Falcons 17
Saints at Jets– the Jets have won one and loss one all season. Last week they were completely embarrassed last week in Cincinnati. The trend ends Sunday as they will lose to Drew Brees and Sean Payton.
Saints 27 Jets 10
Chargers at Redskins– RG III may not make it thru the season this rate. The good thing is that he plays in the lousy NFC East. I think the Redskins pull this one out against the AFC version of the Cowboys.
Redskins 30 Chargers 21
Eagles at Raiders– Nick Foles is back in the fold after missing last weeks Mike Vick led disaster that Matt Barkley finished off. Terrell Pryor is looking as if he may be trying to turn the corner for being the future QB of the Raiders. Chip Kelly’s genius offense is looking more pedestrian by the week.
Raiders 20 Eagles 13
Buccaneers at Seahawks– No Sidney Rice, no Percy Harvin….no problem!
Seahawks 24 Buccaneers 3
Ravens at Browns-The Browns are at home against the artists formerly known as…well, the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have been shaky since Brian Hoyer’s departure and Brandon Weeden has not been the second coming of Bernie Kosar (not that that is a great assessment). This one can get ugly before it even starts.
Ravens 23 Browns 9
Steelers at Patriots– I know a lot would probably say that Andy Reid is the consensus coach of the year but an argument can be certainly made for Bill Bellichek. The guy just finds ways to win with no name talent. As for Pittsburgh, they just can’t seem to protect Big Ben. Again, I will go with the hot handed team.
Patriots 23 Steelers 17
Colts at Texans– Coach Kubiak has half of of his office packed already with almost certainty that he will be fired at seasons end. I do think however this is the upset of the week and the Texans find a way to squeeze out a victory against a sleepwalking Colts team.
Texans 23 Colts 20
Bears at Packers– life without Jay Cutler starts now and the Bears transform into an average team. The Packers are quietly one of the leagues hottest teams. They take care of business in Cheeseland.
Packers 27 Bears 13
