New York, NY – According to multiple reports, the New York Giants have agreed to a multi-year contract with veteran defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins. Jenkins has been a solid player for the Eagles over the last two years and should bolster a defensive line, which may have question marks this year, based on the decision of Osi Umenyiora and the health of Justin Tuck. It doesn’t appear that Umenyiora will be returning, thus, Jenkins may be his apparent heir at defensive end.
At 32 years old, one may think that this will be a temporary patch until the Giants can find some long term answers on the d-line to go with Jason Pierre Paul. The Giants still have a lot of business to handle with their needs. With free agency beginning many teams are beginning to saddle up and toss around the money bag.
