Oakland, Ca – Knick fans can breath a collective sigh of relief if what Carmelo Anthony says is true. Melo told Howard Beck of the New York Times that he will be playing tonight. Already in a pickle without the services of Amare Stoudemire, the Knicks get their top gun back. The question is of how much pain Melo will be playing thru and how many minutes will Mike Woodson play him. The question remains but the Knickerbockers are hoping to get that jolt in the arm in time for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
New York has been without Anthony for three games and are 2-1 in his absence. JR Smith has been the the catalyst for the offense and will more than likely be in his sixth man role when Melo returns.
