Brooklyn, NY- Nets 108, Hornets 98- Brook Lopez scored 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds as the host Brooklyn Nets bounced back last night after a tough loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Brooklyn now is a full 2 games behind the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers who were idle last night for the 2 and 3rd seed.
Miami, FL- Heat 98, Hawks 81 LeBron James essentially took the night of with a 3 for 11 shooting night scoring only 15 points, but Dwayne Wade scored a team high 23 points to lead Miami, to what was never a competetive game from the outset. The Heat have now won 19 straight games and look to make it 20 tonight against a striggling Philadelphia 76er team.
Orlando, FL- Lakers 106, Magis 97
As expected the sold out Orlando crowd gathered together for a ceremonious booing extravaganza of former Orlando Center Dwight Howard. The problem is this was the night Howard decided to return to his old self once he came out of the phone booth. Howard posted a season high 39 points and 16 rebounds. 25 of those points came from the free throw line. If Howard was a half way decent free throw shooter he would have easily scored 50. Kobe Bryant must have decided to dfer to Howard as he added only 11 points on 14 shots. The Lakers currently hold the the 8th seed in the Western Conference playoff race by a half game over the Utah Jazz.
