New York, NY- The Victor Cruz contract situation just got a bit more sticky. As per a report from Pro football Talk, the details of the Percy Harbin deal have come out. Harvin has received a six year, $67 million deal including a $12 million signing bonus. Thus, the total average is $11.16 million. Harvin will average annual $12.845 million.
The problem is, with Mike Wallace signing his deal and Harvin also, Victor Cruz’s camp may now have an approximate landing spot in regards to numbers. Sources have indicated that the New England Patriots may be willing to fork over a couple million as they may look for Wes Walker’s replacement.
One of the major issues is that Cruz has been a slot receiver his whole career and one wonders how his production would be on the outside playing the X or Y spot on a weekly basis. Either way this has and will turn out to be an interesting turn of events over the next couple of days.
