Dallas, TX- The Dallas Cowboys have released veteran defensive tackle Marcus Spears as per Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com, reported from profootballtalk.com. Spears’ cut will save the Cowboys $2 million this year. He simply didn’t fit the 4-3 defense that the Cowboys will be implementing under new defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin. Spears will most likely be a serviceable back up elsewhere.
