New York, NY- Are the New York Jets an attractive team to sign with (Sorry H.K.)? Do you think a two time super bowl running back would entertain the possibility? As discussed in a weekly meeting with the rest of the staff, there are many reasons to believe that former New York Giant, Ahmad Bradshaw, could be switching decals on his helmet but playing at the same address on Sundays.
The fact of the matter is that there is no real market for running backs which may cause Bradshaw to take a decent deal from a team that he will get a considerable amount of work from and be able to not have to relocate. On another note, do the Jets want to go out and find a young back in the draft in which they don’t know what type of production they will get? Is Joe McKnight or anyone else on the current roster really going to make opponents game plan during the week? I think not. Though there may be no concrete evidence out there to suggest that this will happen, in theory, it works for both Bradshaw and the Jets.
Bradshaw is a Rex Ryan type of player. He runs extremely hard and can fit in to the “ground and pound” system that may or may not exist according to Ryan himself at the beginning of camp. Bradshaw does not have much flexibility and when most of us are thinking about our Friday nights and realize we may not have the cash to blow, best bet is to stay your a#$ home.
