New York, NY- As the NFL season draws closer and the Spring flowers began to open up, the New York faithful begin to groan over the residue that still exist from last years dirt. The New York Jets began the off season on shaky ground as they let go of GM Mike Tannenbaum and kept Head Coach Rex Ryan. Its like cutting off your nose to spite your face in some way. Tannenbaum was a Rex Ryan supporter and vice versa. Woody Johnson, as insiders say, was the brainchild behind bringing in Tim Tebow.
So lets get straight to it. Rex never wanted Tebow. Tebow never wanted to be here; though because his right hand man is Jesus he would have us believe so. There it is. Be mad at me all you want for telling the truth. Now that that is settled, we can now talk about the stable of quarterbacks that the Jets have. To get to the point, they have one too many. Mark Sanchez is said to have a leg up on all of the competition and we all know that is not saying much. One thing is for certain, Tim Tebow has no chance at being the starting quarterback of the New York Jets. I don’t care what Rex, Woody or the new GM say. The guy has no shot. So why not do us all a favor; let the guy go.
Tebow has been an upstanding citizen to this league from day one. In a league filled with woman beaters, drunk drivers and paternity cases, upper management consistently overlook the good guys. Well the truth is Tebow is one of the good guys, at least at face value. Give the guy who has never given you a problem and even been insulted by his own teammates an opportunity to look for work elsewhere. He’s not a great quarterback by any means but he certainly has been of great character. We can complain all we want about how many times the guy thanks the lord but constantly give second and third chances to players who break the law and have horrible attitudes. All I’m saying is let the guy loose as he’s done no harm but be a distraction that the owner created for the team. So Woody or Rex could you please do us all a favor?
