New York, NY- Okay everybody just relax for a minute. Take a deep breath and look at the big picture. The New York Knicks are not going to lose this series. The truth of it all is that the Boston Celtics were not going to lie down. Come on, we all knew that. What is so unbelievable that a team with two hall of fame candidates and a hall of fame coach can’t put up a fight? That sounds illogical to me that that could be the case. Carmelo Anthony is entitled to having a bad game. JR Smith has had many games where he was off with his shot. You know what you are getting from Tyson Chandler and Jason Kidd; a minimal contribution at best. We know that Raymond Felton has been inconsistent and serviceable when he is at his best. Wake up Knicks fans these are YOUR New York Knicks.
If you have watched this team over an 82 game season it is very clear that this team does not handle success well. Wearing black before the game against a team that has had success? To insinuate that there was a funeral? That has disaster written all over it. The Knicks just need to settle down and get back to basics on the basketball court and stop worrying about “potentially” winning the first playoff series in 13 years. Carmelo Anthony must bring his game to another level to let the critics know that he is more than just a scorer. This may or may not ever happen but the bottom line is that the Celtics have dug themselves a hole that is probably too big to overcome. There is a reason why no team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in a series. It is extremely difficult to beat a team 4 straight times, especially a team is obviously better than you. This series will be over tomorrow night and the New York Knick faithful will be able to sleep well until the next series.
